Martha Pullen Threadstand Modification
My D.M. recently acquired a Martha Pullen Thread Stand - one of, in my opinion, the greatest productivity aids ever created for Machine Embroidery and the D1. We tried several things to ease threading, but ended up occasionally bumping the embroidery arm on the D1. Someone on another list mentioned that their D.H. had filed some slots through the area where the hole is located to bring the thread through. I used a scroll saw and put some slots in ours. It worked out great. We have since added some "eyelets" to keep black, white, and other commonly used threads.
